Memories of Shanghai-- a part of my blog project

This is a part of my blog project:

Memories of Shanghai

On 4th December 2010, my sister, my grandpa and I went to Shanghai to attend one of my grandpas’ best friend birthday parties. Because my sister doesn’t want to follow us to go to Shanghai, she had to be with my mom, so we use the flight, Singapore Airlines and transit in Singapore for a day.

I have forgotten what time we arrive in Singapore, but as I remembered it was in the morning. So after we got all our luggage, we ride taxi to go back to my condo. When we arrive there, my mom was already waiting for us in the front door. We put all our luggage and wait till the next day to go to Shanghai.

The next day came; my grandpa and I were ready to leave for Shanghai. We went to the airport and when it was time for boarding we went inside the plane and sat on our respective seats. The journey took about 5 hours, and I arrive there midnight.

I was all sleepy and tired, but luckily there was someone to pick us up from the airport, to the hotel. The journey from the airport to the hotel took about half an hour, but I was sleeping the whole time, so I don’t really know what happen on the way.

We live in Ritz Carlton Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. It was a very nice hotel, but because it was midnight already I just go to sleep. I woke up the next morning at around 7 because the phone rang so loudly (I was sleeping beside the phone). Then my grandpa and I went downstairs to eat breakfast.

After we ate breakfast, my grandpa’s friend took us and the whole group of people who he invited to his 70th birthday party to look at houses that he had built in Shanghai. Then, at 12 noon we went to a Chinese restaurant to eat our lunch, and then we went back to the hotel.

At 7pm the birthday started, the birthday was kinda lame (in my opinion) because everyone there was like talking in Chinese. Anyway, after the party I went back to my room and sleep.

The next day we went back to Indonesia because of some family business. Although, the trip was only 3 days, it is still a memorable trip to me.
